Peptides and anti-doping: what tested athletes in Nepal need to know about WADA's S0 and S2 lists

Banned. At all times. Peptides and anti-doping: what every tested athlete in Nepal should know about WADA's S0 and S2 lists.
One global list: the WADA Prohibited List. Most peptides fall into S0 (non-approved substances) or S2 (peptide hormones and growth factors). Both prohibited at all times.
S0 Non-approved substances: any substance with no current approval by any governmental health authority for human therapeutic use. Examples: BPC-157, AOD-9604.
S2 Peptide hormones, growth factors and mimetics: GHRH analogues such as CJC-1295; GH secretagogues and GHRPs such as ipamorelin; growth factors such as thymosin beta-4 and TB-500; erythropoietins (EPO).
Cream equals pill equals shot. USADA: no route-dependent status for peptides and growth factors; a growth factor in a lotion is as prohibited as one injected.
I didn't know is not a defence. USADA: an athlete is responsible for any prohibited substance found in their body, regardless of intent.
Tested-athlete checklist: check the current WADA List, ask your federation or anti-doping body, ask your doctor about a TUE before using a banned medicine, treat research use only labels as a red flag.

→ S0 bans any substance with no health-authority approval for human use anywhere. WADA names BPC-157 here.
→ S2 covers peptide hormones and growth factors, like CJC-1295, ipamorelin, GHRPs and TB-500.
→ Both are banned at all times, in and out of competition.
→ Cream, pill or injection: USADA says the route does not change the status.
→ Strict liability: you are responsible for whatever is found in your body, whatever your intent.

📌 Save this before your next competition season.
📤 Send this to a teammate or coach who gets drug-tested.

Did you know a peptide cream can be banned too? Yes or no?
